Why Our Teachers Are the Heart of Meadowbrook

October might just be one of my favorite months of the year. The children have settled into their routines, the State Fair is in full swing, college football is back, and—on some days—the cooler temperatures are finally showing up in the forecast.
At Meadowbrook, we’re shifting from “Back to School” mode to welcoming prospective families on campus. This week, we’ll host the first of five tours promoting Meadowbrook for the 2026–2027 school year. As I think about what I want to share with these new families, my thoughts repeatedly return to our amazing teachers.
So, may I take a few paragraphs to brag about them?

The "Meadowbrook Magic" we so often talk about is most powerful inside our classrooms. During tours, I love watching parents light up as they step into a room where children are calmly engaged—some working with teachers at their desks, others stretched out on the floor, independently immersed in enriching, individualized assignments. It’s our incredible teachers who set the tone, pace, and rhythm of each classroom. I’m constantly in awe of their talent and dedication.

Each one of them is uniquely gifted. They are creative, intelligent, and true experts in early childhood education. They stretch the limits of patience and adaptability—many with just the right touch of dramatic flair (sometimes you need a bit of drama to reach a four-year-old 😊). They’re humble, often laughing at themselves, and they’re friends to one another—creating an endearing camaraderie that binds our staff together in a beautiful way.

Despite their diverse styles and personalities, they share a singular focus: your children. Their commitment to each child’s growth is why our school tours are filled with families eager to become part of our community.

Teachers are the heartbeat of Meadowbrook.
Here are just a few of the magical experiences your children are enjoying each day:
  • Patience, Love, and Kindness- These teachers truly love your children. I treasure hearing how they speak to our students—whether praising a child’s work or gently redirecting behavior, their tone always fosters growth, respect, and encouragement.
  • Proven Curriculum- Meadowbrook is celebrating its 55th year of excellence in early childhood education. The same high standards that have made us one of Dallas’ premier preschools remain in place. And our teachers are always innovating—enhancing their classrooms and helping children reach their fullest potential.
  • Culture of Community- In Meadowbrook classrooms, students grow together and celebrate one another. Our teachers intentionally cultivate strong relationships, modeling kindness and teaching children how to respect and care for their peers. That sense of mutual respect among teacher and students accelerates both social and academic development.
  • Celebrating Success- At Meadowbrook, we love to celebrate—and we do it often. Big or small, milestones matter, and we take the time to honor them.
We’ll have an entire week to celebrate and appreciate teachers in the spring but don’t hesitate to share a kind word of encouragement before then…and thank YOU for trusting us with your most treasured gift.

All my best,

Whitney
