Celebrating 100Days

Our kindergarteners will be celebrating 100 days of school next week.  You may spot a few extra “senior citizens” in carpool — complete with gray hair, funny glasses, and walking canes. Their creativity and bright personalities will certainly be worth watching.
It’s hard to believe we’ve already reached the 100th day of school!  Reflecting on the 100 days reminded me of one of my goals for the year, which is to intentionally pause and be present. I don’t want to miss a single moment to appreciate all we’ve been blessed with and to celebrate the accomplishments along the way.
Before we launch into the excitement of spring, I’d like to take a moment to reflect on and celebrate a few of our Meadowbrook wins from these first 100 days…

1. YOUR CHILDREN are our biggest win!   We truly have a delightful group of children this year. Every classroom is filled with energy, excitement, and meaningful learning. On the bus ride back from our field trip last week, the children began chanting, “Mead-ow-brook, Mead-ow-brook!” I thought my heart might melt. I sincerely hope your children love Meadowbrook as much as we love them!

2.  WE’RE TRYING NEW THINGS While we’re on the subject of field trips, our PK4 visit to the Perot Museum was a first for our PK4 students — and it was a blast! A HUGE thank you to Suran Yoo for inspiring and executing such a fantastic experience for our children.

Also new — our website! Be sure to take a look at the refreshed site at www.meadowbrook-school.com

3. ADMISSIONS We had another busy fall season, meeting new families and introducing them to Meadowbrook. We extended offers last week and are already looking forward to another wonderful year in 2026–2027. Thank you to each of you who continues to speak so positively about our school in the community. There is no greater compliment than hearing from families who were referred to Meadowbrook by a current member of our community.

4.  AMY PARKER is worth celebrating!!  There truly aren’t enough words to describe the dedication Amy brings to Meadowbrook every day. She is both detailed and determined, managing countless behind-the-scenes tasks to keep our school running smoothly. She serves as the resident nurse for your children and keeps me and our teachers organized and on track.

If you see Amy soon, please take a moment to thank her for all she does — we are so fortunate to have her!
As you well know, this is just a short list of the things we have to celebrate after 100 days of learning at Meadowbrook. I am grateful for these and all the other, everyday moments that make our school so special.

All my best,

Whitney
